Colombia La Piramide Espresso - Single Origin.

Located in a sacred valley nestled below the mountainous ridge, separating Cauca and Huila, this coffee is from the remote municipality of Inza, The land here is rich volcanic soil, with high altitudes and perfect conditions for growing speciality coffee. The climate in the region is stable year-round, with the valley protected by the mountain surrounds.

Historically coffee from here was blended and sold as Huila coffee, and thus its origins obscured by intermediaries.

Today the producers here are known as ASORCAFE, a collection of many smallholders from the Inza region, numbering around 450 producers. This organisation began in 2004 through the needs of 10 producers banding together and achieving higher prices and recognition for their coffee. They are now well known for their microlot program, which segregates lots through their very own lab in Pedregal.

This coffee is a truly special lot, and we’re amazed at the quality that distinguishes it beyond anything that we’ve tasted in this region before.
